I've been proud to be part of the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing for a number of years. My friends Anita Borg and Telle Whitney started this conference in 1994. I was the Program Chair for the conference in Vancouver in 2002 and the General Chair for the conference in Chicago in 2004. It is a program of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology.

I'm a big fan of EMILY's List.They get highly qualified pro-choice Democratic women elected to congress and governorships. I'm not a hugely partisan person, and I wish they were more bi-partisan, but they are so effective at identifying, developing, and getting fantastic women elected to public office that I really encourage you to check them out and donate to them.
