Skip, Lindsay, me, Loren, and Julie at the Jorgensens'.
My step-daughter Loren lives in Santa Clara, with her two miniature dachshunds and best friend Julie (and her bulldog!)
Loren teaches gymnastics (2 of her gymnasts won state competitions!) and works at a local gym, http://www.overtimefitness.com/. Skip grew up in Redwood City and is the ranch manager for Jelich Ranch, www.jelichranch.com. Skip's grandfather had a farm where the Sears Center is at the intersection of San Antonio and El Camino. My step-daughter
Lindsay is a US Marine, stationed in Okinawa, Japan.

My brother's son and daughter, Aaron and Abby
In 2005 Abby
graduated from USC. After a year as assistant editor at More magazine in NYC (living "The Devil Wears Prada"), Abby is now
in the fashion industry in NYC. Aaron is a senior at Indiana University, majoring in business and communications.

Lindsay graduated from Marine Boot Camp at Parris Island in South Carolina, December 2006.
After 2 years of community college, my step-daughter Lindsay decided it wasn't challenging enough for her and enlisted
in the Marines. This is her graduation day, after 3 months of bootcamp at Parris Island. Apparently it is just like they portray
it in the movies. Her smile is partly relief that she survived it!

Never eat anything bigger than your head
This is my sister Sally, at our last meal on an Italy trip in 2005. It was kind of a last hurrah. Sally was a surgeon
in Louisville, Kentucky. She passed away in the Fall of 2006 after fighting an incurable cancer for 2 years. I try to live
by her parting words: "be sure at all times you are doing something
you love because you never know what is around the corner."
