La Comunidad

La Comunidad is a living-learning residence hall created to encourage students in their Spanish communication outside the classroom. The hall houses a bilingual resident advisor, and the community promotes the use of Spanish by immersing the student in the Spanish language.

Latino Student Union

La Unión de Estudiantes Latinos (La Unión) was formed in 1972, an
alliance that was created amongst Latino undergraduate students to
address issues that they faced as underrepresented students. The goal of
those first 20 students was to ensure that Latino undergraduates had a
voice in university decision making, and that any injustices committed
against Latino students were addressed. This remains true today.
