Someone just asked me who I was...   It's was a good question.

I'm a husband, father of eight, grandfather of 3 (another on the way), a Proud Vietnam Veteran of the Marine Corps' Combined Action Program (CAP) http://home.earthlink.net/~life_magazine_67    For the last 25 years-plus, I've been trying to change the negative image of Vietnam Veterans. I wasn't a hero in Vietnam, but I served in the most successful anti-terrorist program in the History of the Marines.  The unit's strength was its kindness. I worked for Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield for 18 years before my Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) got the best of me. My last position there was Data Processing Project Manager of the health insurance company's 6.5 million Subscriber System. I had management responsibility for a data processing staff of 17. The subscriber data was the heart of the corporation. It was a huge and important system. All claims went against this file. Data had to be current!

I picked up writing movie scripts as a therapeutic hobby.    I later added building websites as another hobby.   In 1989, I wrote down my experiences for the Veterans Administration (VA) in order to get benefits. You can read them at http://www.CapVeterans.com   Like I already wrote, I was no hero, but I was in a unit of many heroes.

No where in my experiences did I have to burn down my peasant-farming village.   However, the communists did burn down my village about seven (7) months after I left it.

Hundreds of peasants were killed, wounded and missing yet the story was never pushed by the American News Media. http://home.earthlink.net/~ducducvietnamfriends In 1971, as my village was burning down, I was just home from Vietnam.   Friends actually asked me how many babies did I have to kill in my peasant village.

Although I'm disabled with PTSD and I suffer from chronic pain from a bomb blast in May 1970, I try to stay motivated enough to keep my 25 year-plus project going.      It's been a long and tough 25-plus years. But thank GOD, it's been made much easier with John Kerry coming out to run as president. P.S. I'm just one of 2.5 million Vietnam Veterans. The Leftists/Liberals can discredit me, but I'm just one messager.   There are still another 2,499,999 already talking.   My advice to all Leftists/most Liberals/All-Anti-American-Americans is to sit back and listen...    (You had your chance.)

The door to the history of the Vietnam War must be reopened before we can truly learn from it...   The War has haunted America even more than it did her Veterans...

A few weeks ago the 278th. opened a school in the area near here. I became aware that a lot of the children did not have shoes and were going to school barefoot in 50 degree weather. I am asking people to mail one pair of children's shoes to my address in Iraq. They can be any size boys or girls. They do not have to be new just serviceable. IN A NEW JERSEY LEGAL MALPRACTICE CASE, AFTER REVIEW OF A 'PRO SE' PTSD VIETNAM VET'S EVIDENCE, SUSSEX COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT's JUDGE, HONORABLE RONALD GRAVES DECIDES THAT THE SUPERIOR COURT'S LAW DIVISION IS WARRANTED FOR DAMAGES.

The Honorable Judge Graves made his decision over the objections of the defendant Law Firm's lawyer. Their lawyer happened to be the local Vice-Chairman of New Jersey's Office of Attorney Ethics.
