we resent the lies told about Vietnam vets by
John Kerry, we remember the aid and comfort he gave to the enemy while
America's
sons were dying, and we will never rest so long as he seeks to be
Commander in Chief.

Ralliers!
It's upon
us; two days and a wake-up will see us on Rally Day, and things
are really turning and burning!
Before going any
further, I'd like to invite all of you who are attending to
a "welcome-aboard" reception we are hosting at the Capitol
Hill American
Legion Hall. That is located at 224 D Street, SE, in the District of
Columbia. It is only
a couple of blocks to the southeast of the Capitol.
It will begin at 6:00 PM and last until...
I have been so blessed
with the number and quality of volunteers who have
stepped forward and shouldered the load. I won't name a single
one of them
lest I slight any of the others, but they have all done a magnificent job
toward making the Rally a memorable,
and effective, event.
One minor admin note: all Ralliers should understand that DC has the
toughest gun laws in
the nation; that's all I need to say.
If some of you are still looking for a ride to DC, go to our "lodging and
transportation"
page and open up the car pool page. If there's not someone
there from your location, register yourself, and
maybe someone will come
looking for you.
Starting Saturday, this place is going to explode with activity.
The
reception has to be planned for, final preparations for the Rally will be
underway, and ol' Larry here will be ready
for the loony bin! I comfort
myself in the sure and certain knowledge that it will all be over Sunday
night!
And
that brings me to Operation Street Corner, which will continue through
Election Day. Our Florida Mafia has done an
absolutely magnificent job of
putting on come-as-you-are displays in various sites in that battleground
state.
CALL
FOR VOLUNTEERS!
Starting at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Hall (224 D St. SE), we'll be
assembling some 80 flags.
I need some volunteers to lend a hand. It'll be
light work that even Marines can handle! Come on down and lend
a hand.
Also, starting at 0600 on Sunday, we'll need some strong backs to help the
engineers set up the stage and sound
equipment. Who will help me?

After the Rally there'll be a need for volunteers to clean up the (light)
mess
we'll create. I'd just ask you to stand fast and wait for somebody to
hand you a trash bag! Clean-up won't
take very long with a few determined
trash-pickers going after it!
A word of caution--judging by the ringers "the
other side" sent to our
Tuesday press conference, we can expect some counter-Rally activity. Just
let it roll
off; the Capitol Police will have plenty of officers there, and
they will take good care of any troublemakers.
We've
made Limbaugh today--he actually announced the time and place of the
Rally! That's a breakthrough, because Jeff Epstein
hasn't had much luck
with Limbaugh's producer until today.
Any of you who live within a couple hundred miles
of DC are urged to push
your friends to join you on your trip for the Rally. We REALLY want to have
a few thousand
folks in attendance, so do what you can!
If you're coming in from out of town, please drive safely! We want you
to
arrive whole! Until I see you on Sunday (or before), just think about our
sole reason for participating in
this Rally--the lies John Kerry told about
us Vietnam servicemembers in 1971. This is our chance to set the record
straight.

Folks, make your travel plans now for the Kerry Lied rally

We're working our butts off getting the rally ready, travel and
lodging is up to you, so reserve early. Here are a few tips.
Dress decent for the rally. Remember, some people still believe
the false image of Vietnam vets as bums dressed in ragged fatigues. Show them we are normal Americans who work for a living.
Bring your American flags, small ones if you have them so our
rally crowd is an ocean of patriotism both in appearance and in fact.
If you have unit banners, you might want to bring them.
If you want to carry a sign and don't know what to put on it,
one suggestion is something like "Stolen Honor, Stolen Valor."
Bring an umbrella just in case.
If the opposition sends troublemakers, please ignore them, please
do not engage them, please do not touch them. The DC police will be in attendance, let them handle things, we want to show
our purpose is totally peaceful.
We have a terrific lineup of speakers, we expect a large crowd,
and we look forward to seeing you there so we can all tell the world John Kerry is not who he says he was long ago, and he
is not who he says he is today.

I N V I T A T I O N !
Sen. John Kerry is not who he says he is, and we need your support to
get the truth to America.
Contrary to most media reports, Vietnam
veterans are overwhelmingly opposed to Kerry. Long ago Kerry lied to the American people and the US Senate when he told our
mothers and fathers, our wives and our children that we had raped, tortured, murdered and ravaged the countryside of Vietnam. It was a pack of lies, but much of America was disenchanted
with the war, and America listened to and believed Kerry as he used the Vietnam war to launch his political
career.
How is that ancient history
relevant to young voters in 2004? John Kerry was not who he says he was long ago, and he is not who he says he is today. Kerry
is not the centrist, moderate, strong-on-defense candidate he represents himself to be, and voters need to know those facts.
Kerry has raised Vietnam as an issue and after all these years he has reaffirmed the lies he told about us long ago. This time we will not
remain silent. A large group of Vietnam veterans is planning a rally in Washington DC
on September 12 at the US Capitol building to call attention to the truth about Kerry. We call the rally “KERRY LIED
. . . While Good Men Died.”
At our rally, Laura Armstrong
will tell the story of her father, “Black Bart” Bartholomew, a First Air Cavalry rocket artillery helicopter pilot
who was killed in Vietnam on Thanksgiving Day in 1968 when Laura was eight-years old. Jim Warner, a POW
in Hanoi for 6 years, will tell the story of his interrogators quoting to him John Kerry’s
words as they urged him to confess to imaginary war crimes. And others will speak, like B.G. “Jug” Burkett, author
of “Stolen Valor,” the definitive work debunking myths about Vietnam
veterans. We will tell the true story of how these fine young men and women came home to insults instead of parades, and that
America should not have listened to Kerry’s lies, America should have welcomed them home from Vietnam with gratitude long
ago.
We will also address young
voters about Kerry’s more recent record.
We need your financial support
to make our voices heard at the rally. In addition, we hope you can join us at the rally. We want
to show the news media a large number of Americans agree with us.
Everyone working on this
event is a volunteer. There is no paid staff. We are not associated in any way with any political campaign. We need your help.
Individual veterans are contributing, but we also need major donors. This is a very important event and we need to raise the

Why do most Vietnam
Vets say NO to John Kerry?
The Short Version
Yes, Kerry served in Vietnam, but do you know
how he gave aid and comfort to the enemy when he returned to the US?
1. Kerry
joined the radical left of the anti-war movement and worked with Jane Fonda. Many good people opposed the war, but these radicals
were advocates of our enemy.
2. Kerry
launched his political career with false testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 1971 saying American
soldiers in Vietnam were “. . . a generation of monsters. . . “ who raped, tortured,
murdered and ravaged the countryside like Genghis Kahn. It was an outrageous lie. He still defends the lie.
3. Kerry
said he was ashamed of his Vietnam service. He dishonored his decorations by throwing them over a fence labeled
“Trash” on camera at a Washington, DC protest. He now says he is proud of his service and his decorations.
4. Kerry
met with our enemy’s negotiator in Paris in 1970, Madam Nguyen Thi Binh, in violation of US law while hostilities were
ongoing and while the US Secretary of State was attempting to open negotiations. Kerry returned to the
US and publicly advocated the enemy’s proposal of unilateral US withdrawal before negotiating the return of our POWs, contrary to the US Government’s position.
5. American
POWs heard Kerry’s 1971 false testimony quoted to them during interrogation sessions as their captors pressured them
to confess to war crimes they did not commit.
6. Kerry
is prominently represented in Communist Vietnam’s war museum in gratitude for his help in their victory over the US.
7. In June
2004, the official Communist newspaper accused the US of a pattern of inhumane
war crimes, citing the 1971 testimony of John Kerry and the Iraq prisoner
abuse scandal: “ . . like in any of the dozens of countries they invaded, it was the Americans who perpetrated well-documented
atrocities in Vietnam, both at the individual and mass levels." Their article shows a photo of our
POWs playing volleyball and claim they were treated well. The opposite is the truth.
8. 21 of
the 22 Naval officers who served with Kerry consider him unfit for office.
How is Kerry’s betrayal of Vietnam veterans relevant
to young voters today?
1. Kerry
is rated the most liberal out of all 100 US Senators by the nonpartisan
National Journal. He is further left than Ted Kennedy, yet Kerry claims to have conservative values to get your vote.
2. Kerry
says he is strong on defense. Yet while Ronald Reagan stared down the Soviets Kerry advocated unilateral disarmament. Kerry
voted against the first Gulf war to free Kuwait from Iraqi aggression.
Kerry has voted against most military pay raises, voted against new housing for our troops and their families, and as far
back as 1994 Kerry voted to practically "gut" defense and spending for intelligence. Kerry
voted against the B-1 Bomber, the B-2 Stealth Bomber, the F-14, the F-15,
the F-16, the AV-8B Harrier Vertical Takeoff and Landing Jet Fighter,
the AH-64 Apache Helicopter, the Patriot Missile, the Aegis Air Defense Cruiser, the Trident Missile System for U.S. Submarines, the
M-1 Abrams Tank, the Bradley Fighting Vehicle and the Tomahawk Cruise
Missile. Fortunately others voted yes and these weapon systems have been crucial to the superior edge of our armed
forces.
3. Year after
year, decade after decade, John Kerry has proven he will say and do anything to buy your vote.
Do you believe or trust John
Kerry? Most vets do not.
