| Yesterday I spent pretty much of it running around looking for things I needed. I took the bus up to Fred Meyer's and made it my first stop in my quest for a 4" grinding wheel. No luck there, so I then walked on over to Schuck's. I didn't really expect to find one there either, but I needed to get a lift plate anyways. My next stop was Lowe's, where I thought was my best shot. They have 2-1/2" and 6" wheels but no 4" ones. It wasn't looking good, so I went ahead and bought some more cutoff wheels for my die grinder. Well from there, I stopped into Parts+. No grinding wheel but they did comp. me some bolts I wanted. Now I know why I got the bench grinder for only $3.99. You can add 4" grinding wheels to the list of things you can't find in Bremerton. | |

After I got back, I also picked up some fittings at Lowe's that I need, I hooked up the new air filter/lubricator that I bought off eBay Motors. Sure is nice not having water in my lines anymore. I then went to work with my die grinder. It was slow work but the end result was pretty good. |

Now for the real test. I put the distributor in place and clamped it down.
I then attached the drill and crossed my fingers. The cheap-a_s drill I
have is stuck in roto hammer mode, and doesn't like circles! What next. So
I keep flipping the switch on it and still can't get to run right. Between
roto mode and the petroleum jelly in the oil pump, this worthless drill
was not happy! Warning: I've seen this same drill for auction on eBay Motors. You too can own one of these fine tools. |

After the drill made a fast exit out the open doors, I decided to try it by hand. I grabbed a pair of vise grips and started turning. I didn't expect much, seen as I had no rpms going, but right off the bat I had about 40-50psi! So I kept turning for awhile and soon had oil flowing to the rocker arms! Hee haw, she's ready to breath fire. |
