Tips & Suggestions
For long lasting color, choose flowers with deep rich hues. Softer colors may fade with time. |
While most flowers freeze dry very well, some flowers like daisies, chrysanthemums, spider dahlias and bouvardia do not freeze dry successfully. Check with your florist if you are unsure of your flowers or contact Always In Bloom. |
White flowers will turn to off white or cream color. |
Care and Handling After the Wedding
Make arrangements in advance to have the flowers delivered to Always In Bloom as soon after the wedding as possible. The fresher the flowers, the more successful the results. Prior to delivery, keep the flowers cool but not frozen. |
An ice chest works well for transporting. Line the bottom of the chest with ice or ice packs and cover with a plastic bag and towel. Place the flowers on the towel. Do not allow the flowers to become wet or float in water. |
If an ice chest is not possible, place the flowers loosely in a clear or white plastic bag and blow air into it. Close the bag tightly and place in a refrigerator away from fruits and vegetables. |
Be aware that bruising causes the flowers to brown. Care in handling can help minimize damage to flowers. |
A pick up service is available with advance reservations for a nominal charge. |
