In blindness, I did set apart a self that knew of fear.
      In ignorance, i protected it from all who might come near.
In certainty, i established a wall about my rights,
      With pride, i justified myself in all my turbulent fights.

With greed, i pressed my advantage as i sought to get ahead,
      With lust, i hungered after, that about which I had read.
With envy, i begrudged to others their every noble deed,
      With gluttony, i gobbled up the stuff I didn't need.

With sloth, i gave up doing anything at all, 
      With apathy, i merely watched as deeper i did fall?
With anger, i blamed others for things that were going wrong,
      i insulted, swore and condemned to show that I was strong.

I am The Universe expanding in Its multivaried way,
      I am very versatile, in the games I tend to play.
I am nations colliding, in wars of mass destruction,
      I promulgate and escalate, avoiding my reduction.

Only when I see beyond the barriers I've imposed,
      Does The Greater Self, I Am, become overt and exposed.
Suddenly I realize, I am creativity without bounds, 
      I am all tastes, and smells, the feelings, sights and sounds.

Then peace and harmony reign, knowing I am One,
      And The Creation continues; it is really fun.
Now, I once more know Myself, as I really be,
      There's not a  need for fear, because i am always Me.
