ANITA CEIL MOSS, 83, of Las Vegas, Nev, formerly of Oak Park, MI, died Jan 14, 2009.

She was a member of Temple Bet Emet, Las Vegas, a past president of the Oak Park Auxiliary of the Jewish War Veterans and an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Las Vegas. She was an avid Mah Jongg player and went on many of the Mah Jongg cruises and retreats.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in law, Sherryl and Ron Anctil of Tucson, Ariz.; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cindy Moss of Northville, Victor and Maria Moss of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Carrie and Arnie Wheeler, Steven and Ilishia Adler, Nathan Stroder; Michelle Fye, Jennifer Gonterman, Esther Chapman, Hari Reichert; great-grandchildren, Timothy Wheeler, Marygrace Bower, Andrew Adler, Isaac Wheeler, Natasha Touchette, Zachery Touchette, Victoria Fye, Tavon Chapman, Tyrese Chapman, Tia Chapman; sister, Lila Poris of Flushing, N.Y.; many beloved pets.

Mrs. Moss was the beloved wife of the late Norman A. Moss.

Services and interment at Hebrew Memorial Park in Clinton Township. Arrangements by Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

Jimmy Sorrick, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday, March 6, 2004 in a local hospital.

Jimmy was born Feb. 15, 1932, in Lakeview, Ga. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired Army master sergeant, a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Whorley Masonic Lodge 601.

He is survived by his wife, Margarete; three daughters, Karolyn DeArmond of Las Vegas, Kathy Sorrick Newborg of Tacoma, Wash., and Christine Bridges of Visalia, Calif.; one son, Jimmy L. Sorrick of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Edward Sorrick Jr. of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

DAVID MOFCHUM, 82, died Wednesday Jan, 19, 2003 at Nathan Adelson Hospice.

He was born April 13, 1920, in New York City. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired electrical engineer, a 23-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of Veterans in Politics, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Society of the Third Infantry Division and Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his daughters, Gay Howard of Agoura, Calif., Nancy Fahlstrom of Lancaster, Calif., and Penny White of Burbank, Calif.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11:20 a.m. Friday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made to the hospice. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society handled arrangements.

SAMMY SAGGIO, 70, died Wednesday, Oct 24, 2001.

He was born April 15, 1931, in Steubenville, Ohio. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a retired floorman in a casino, a 48-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of the Culinary union.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa of Las Vegas; daughters, Stefanie Saggio-Simpson of Salt Lake City and Christina of Las Vegas; brothers, John, Eugene and Amelio, all of Steubenville, and Anthony Pacchiano of Atlantic City, N.J.; sisters, Theresa D'Anniballe and Marie Ferrise, both of Steubenville, and Dolly Bruno of Weirton, W.Va.; and a grandchild.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today at Palm Mortuary-Eastern. The family requests memorial donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.

Chester E. Daniels, 83, died Friday, March 23, 2001 in a Las Vegas hospital.

He was born March 7, 1918, in Mangum, Okla. An Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a retired certified public accountant and a 15-year resident of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his daughters, Carol of Las Vegas, Sallie McCracken of Corbin, Ky., and Cynthia of Little Rock, Ark.; brother, O.K. of The Woodlands, Texas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary-Downtown handled the arrangements.

STANLEY MATYSEK, 78, of Las Vegas died Oct. 20, 2000 in Las Vegas.

He was born June 5, 1922, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. A resident for 30 years, he was a real estate company owner and a World War II Army and Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ena; four sons, John Matysek, Manuel Matysek, Henry Matysek and Jeovani Matysek, and one daughter, Tanya Matysek, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 12:30 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

WALTER ARTIGAS BARBOZA, 56, died Thursday, September 28, 2000.

He was born July 19, 1944, in Uruguay. An Air Force veteran, he was a dealer in gaming and a 30-year resident of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his companion, Kathleen Rodriguez; son, Brendan; and daughter, Breanna, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church followed by burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Hites Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Lyle Stovall, 72, died Thursday, August 26, 1999

Lyle Wayne Stovall, 72, died Thursday. 

He was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Nebraska. A retired Army veteran, he was a real estate appraiser and a 10-year resident of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Anna of Las Vegas; daughters, Peggy of California and Patricia of Las Vegas; brothers, George Jr. of Lincoln, Neb., and Gerald of Kearney, Neb.; and sister, Evelyn Stubbendeck of Elmwood, Neb.

Graveside services will be at noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Hites Funeral Home handled arrangements.

CHARLES M. NIEDRICH, 72, died Monday, July 26, 1999 in Nathan Adelson Hospice.

He was born June 13, 1927, in Chicago. An Air Force veteran who served during World War II, he was a retired baker, a 34-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of American Legion.

He is survived by his daughters, Patricia Martin, Christy Zavala and Dolorise, all of Las Vegas, and Dona Harris and Carol, both of Chicago; son, Charles; and sister, Doris Slotkin, both of Las Vegas; brothers, Raymond of Las Vegas and James of Los Angeles; companion, Idalyn Scott of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice. Palm Mortuary-Eastern handled arrangements

SAMUEL WRIGHT

Samuel Wallace Wright, 72, died Wednesday, April 1, 1998 in a Las Vegas hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1925, in Pennsylvania. A supervisor in a steel factory, he was a member of Elks Lodge, an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a 16-year resident of Las Vegas.  He is survived by his sons, Jessie and Gary; daughter, Roxanne; and one grandchild.  Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation & Burial Society.
