Joining Helps You And Others

It's Simple.  It's Easy.  It's Worthwhile.

See the Easy Steps Below.

In any given year, you can easily give $30 or $50 to charities that you believe support our Nation’s Veterans, Families, and Children.  Why not join for the same amount and KNOW that your money gets to those you are supporting?  Why not join for the same amount and become part of a 3 million plus family, have free access to over 15,000 Posts, receive a Legion Magazine monthly, and have fun with Post 149 and participate in Legion events?

Our Post dues are a low $30 per year.

It Is Not The Price You Pay For Membership, It Is The Price You Paid To Be Eligible To Join;

It Is The Value Of Being A Member.

1 - Submit Your Modest $30 Dues

Click on the PAY NOW button below and pay your dues on-line.  You can use your PayPal account (if you have one), or use a major credit card.

2 - Submit an On-Line Application

Simply fill out the on-line application as best you can, by clicking on this "Online Application" link.  Your application will be processed automatically and a confirmation sent to your contact email.  If possible, plan on coming to the next Post 149 general meeting at 10:00 am on the second Saturday of every month and be introduced to the membership.  Afterwards your participation is up to you.

You can also download a printable application at the bottom of this page, and bring it to our Post HQ or our Post meeting.

3 - If You Do Not Have a DD-214

If you cannot find you or your relatives DD-214 or proof of service, don't let that stop you from joining The American Legion.  Simply sign and submit your application at the next Post 149 general meeting, 10:00 am on the second Saturday of every month.  You then have 90-days to provide proof of service.

Then, CLICK HERE to access the Department of Veterans Affairs on-line service to obtain your DD-214.  Follow the instructions on the VA website, and then print your request.  You can then mail or fax your request to the National Records Center.

If you do not provide proof of eligibility, we will humbly thank you for your charitable donation to our worthwhile causes.  You donation will go to help our Wounded Warriors.

4 - American Legion Riders (ALR)

American Legion Riders are members of the American Legion, and their families, who participate in motorcycle riding activities within The American Legion.  American Legion Riders are motorcycle riders who enjoy socializing on two-wheels while supporting the Aims and Purposes of the American Legion.  American Legion Riders are Legionnaires, Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion members in good standing within their organizations, and do not have to be members of Post 149 to participate in our Post activities.  Of course, we prefer that you join our Post family, but you are welcome nonetheless.

If you want to join in the activities with other American Legion Riders, simply show up at any of our events, or a Post 149 general meeting, 10:00 am on the second Saturday of every month and introduce yourself.
