Elsewhere on this site, I have mentioned Kurdistan. It is an interesting area, because, it is an ancient homeland of
humanity, secondly, it has been invaded and oppressed by foreign empires since the first recorded history (Akkadia). Its geographical
region is from the area of Mt. Ararat in Turkey, across the highlands of Syria, Iraq, and Iran. Its religion, symbolized above,
has been given names such as Yardanism, Alevism, Yezidism. Uniquely, it has been able to aquire elements of most other religions.
The Yezidi have a reputation as devil worshippers. More specifically, they petition the devil-god of this world for help,
since he is its master. At the same time, they believe there is a mysterious, superior god Whose existence is beyond the reach
of man in the finite world.
What is black magic? Generally, a demonizing slander, like the word devil (from the word deva, or angel). Alchemy or
Hermetic magic is strongly associated with Egypt. One of her names is al'khem, the black, so called from the yearly floods
of the Nile, which leave rich black silt in their wake. Alchemy is black magic, or, Egyptian magic. Associated with evil by
the church, it was pursued and harassed.
Devil worship per se is impossible, since there is no being as commonly defined. The devil or angel is the God of this
world, so it is both good and evil and cannot be said to be either. The evil ones are men who make evil choices, and their
chiefs, in the doctrine of reincarnation, are the astral shells (kliffot) of sorcerers. The dark side of nature is a necessary,
and morally innocent, part of life. It is those humans who pervert and exploit its powers, who are to blame.
Throughout the Serapeum, I will host the ideas of Trans-Himalayan Occultism. I won't go so far into all the theories
and details of it. The outside links are for that. A work that is in constant revision will be included. This work is a composite
of standard historical reference, and legend or spurious material. I have seen lots of propoganda done by anti-Masons and
others of that ilk, which relies on standard hoaxes, misinformation, and error, to continue the demonization of so-called
black magic. There are attempts to discredit all parts of history due to its revisionism. Scholars are always making
"honest" mistakes.
My history material may be called propoganda, but, as Neurosphinx is not affiliated with any political entities, it is
only rhetoric, or argumentative writing. Being based on unprovable or faith-based issues is a bad argument, but if you
take that to the extreme, I only have faith that there is a China based on hearsay. So I am willing to present my imagination
and opinions as facts, and, if reality is only subjective (yogacharya), then at least for me, devas and Atlantis are as "real"
as my cigarettes. Accept what makes sense for you (Buddha).
