Theory: snap break
Interpretation: a meditation
on instincts, guided by a Zuni bear totem.
Come this way and try to insult
me, thats how they do
But I cannot take the lies that
are lived and use those things to stand for myself
Get back now before you touch
me, or taste the wrath
I cannot stop what’s unknown
to you from blowing itself apart in your face
Beware what’s behind the
fence, no don’t let it out
When you start to tempt what’s
down in its pit much deeper than you ought to go
Smelling of the blood-filled
fresh meat crossing my path
And it’s begging for destruction
soon, when I can’t see a reason to wait
Death gaze in the eyes of creator,
feel the war drum pulse
Wish to flee the danger if your
feet would leave the ground
Rattle of the shaking bones while
your defenses fall
Found the wrong contender and
your chances went out yesterday
Coiled, as cobra, steel inside,
tight as stallion ready to ride
Cruel , as hornets, swarm the
sky, black inferno blinding the doomed
For one time I excuse it, for
a lifetime, I refuse it
Now feel what you walked into,
nasty and sharp as spears, two snapping jaws of a bear trap
Crushing by instinct, I’ve
got the attitude, well-bloodied jaws of the bear trap
Carving and slicing your gizzards
and useless limbs, impaled on the teeth of a bear trap
I’m feeling better now,
at least you shut up for once
Come this way and starting to
melt me, that’s what you do
But I cannot take what’s
not freely given until you free the fire in yourself
Turn away after you touch me,
a bit overwhelmed
I cannot stop you from disappearing,
wondering if you remember my face
All the interference between
us someday shall end
You tempt the good deep down
inside me and dare a fool to stand against that
It is not without a reason you
crossed my path
Which widens for your footsteps
now and leaves no more lost time to wait
Life gaze to the light of creation,
feel the spirit breathe
Wish to stay in celebration after
all we’ve had to grieve
Touch of bold enchanted hands
while your defenses fall
Found the right conductor, dropped
in time with everything
Wound up serpent, tense inside,
tight as young mare ready to ride
Cruel denial hurts too long,
red volcano floods of its flow
The first time I couldn’t
resist, this time I insist
To feel what I walked into, hungry
and drooling drops, gobble me up in a bear trap
Tossing it roundabout, you got
the attitude, well-wrestled jaws of the bear trap
Clutching and rolling our bellies
and winding limbs, stuck good and fast in a bear trap
Both feeling better now, tied
in a knot and tired
Bait waits where I went stray,
no one reads me the way, lost my map and drew a better one
Trapped with the honey alone,
zapped by a zing in a zone, clamped into the sweetness that I chased
After a snack and a snooze, fly
however you choose, make it real that’s how this deal is done
Tired of being used, get up get
out get loose, paid so much and I hate to see a waste
Life gaze to the light of creation,
feel the spirit breathe
Wish to stay in celebration after
all we’ve had to grieve
Touch of bold enchanted hands
while your defenses fall
Found the right conductor, dropped
in time with everything
