Planning 2nd Ka'aimoku Family Reunion for 2011 at Kula, Maui, Hawaii!
Currently requesting all recommendations, suggestions, and inputs for a planned family reunion in the year 2011.
Please submit early (ie. Location? Kula, Maui, Hawaii; date? July, time, venues, accomodations, facilities, entertainment,

Successfully completed the Family Reunion 2008 at Hamakuapoko,
Maui, Hawaii from July 10th to 13th. Many thanks and appreciation to Lena & Ed, Pulama, Miki & Guy, Marlena
& Alex, Moana & Kyle, Olga & Jim, Heather & Frank, Irene, Antoinette, Kiai, everyone behind the scenes for the diligent work
to make this come together. Mahalo nui loa to each and every individual that participated without whom there would be no family
reunion. More review to be posted in the near future. Look forward to seeing everyone again...and a especial invite to those

Ahu'ena Heiau is located in Kailua, Kona, Hawaii on the Kamakahonu Bay (eye of the turtle) located on the makai/ocean
side of the King Kamehameha Hotel at Kailua Bay. This is the area that was the summer home and the
place of passing for King Kamehameha I (Ref. website: http://www.kulana.org/)

The Ho'okipa Surfer's Club on Maui was formed and managed by several family members (Sarah, Kamaka, Dora, William, etc.
included in photo). Another local activity which bonds family and friends.

The children of Moloka'i believe it is never too soon to begin surfing. It is one of the few islands that still
may occassionally run out of "ice" for making "shave ice", auwe!!!

| Old Maui High School |
Old Maui High is the alma mater of many of the family members of Maui. Located on Holomua Road and adjacent
to the site where Hamakuapoko Camp was once located. An independent preservation and restoration group of volunteers
( Friends of Old Maui High School at PO Box 7921165, Paia, HI 96779; Donations
Welcome!) have been formed to maintain what is left of this sight, restore, and to give new life to this once thriving
school.
