This is a touching, frightening and dramatic love story told against the backdrop of the jazz music scene.

"Don't Explain" is based on the headline-grabbing true story of Jazz legend Lee Morgan. Capturing the tragic love story of a brilliant young jazz trumpeter gunned down by his wife at Slugs Night Club in New York City.

"Don't Explain" began on stage with the Negro Ensemble Company written by Samuel Harps and ran for two years. Having garnered numerous awards and critical acclaim - production is getting ready to begin in New York City on the filmed version along with a vibrant music soundtrack being orchestrated by Roy Hargrove.

Marianne Jean-Baptiste - Academy Award Nominated actress plays the role of Elana, the woman who will ultimately take Lee Morgan's life but whose real desire was to save it.

Hot off his brilliant and critically acclaimed performance in TITUS, Harry Lennix portrays the role of the troubled Trumpeter on the brink of his musical genius and celebrity.
