New Horizon Montessori School is a World Class Montessori program, offering an authentic Montessori approach for children through elementary school. Enrollment priority is given to children aged three to allow for a three-year matriculation in the early childhood class. Older children will be accepted based on availability of spaces and assessment to assure that they will be a good fit for the established classroom.

At the elementary level priority is given to students transferring from other Montessori schools.

Limited financial aid is available for elementary students. Applications for financial aid will be processed by an independent company and must be returned by June 24, 2009 for new enrollees, to be considered for the beginning of the school year. There is a $21 processing fee payable directly to the Private School Aid Service (PSAS). Contact the school for more information.

Applications may be completed online by visiting PSAS and using the school identification code of 1330:

Secure financial aid application through PSAS

Enrollment process:

1. Review information packet
2. Schedule observation visit
3. Submit application
4. Submit recommendation forms
5. Schedule parent interview (both parents)
6. Student interview (if needed)

Note: elementary students may also schedule a visit day to spend a few hours in the classroom.

After these steps are completed, your child will be then placed on our active waiting list and you will be notified by mail or phone if we are able to place your child.

Children are selected from the waiting list according to the needs of the individual classroom communities. We strive for communities that reflect balance and diversity in socio-economics, race, ethnicity, age, and gender. Typically, children transferring from other Montessori programs are given priority along with younger siblings of currently enrolled students. The child highest on the waiting list whose admission would help maintain balance in the classroom will be invited into the community first.

If we are unable to find a place for your child, we will send you a letter in which we ask if you would like to remain on the waiting list or withdraw.
