The elementary students used their community meeting to decide to have a talent show. Rebecca reported that they spent a good forty minutes working out the day to have the show. That day turned out to be last Friday. What a treat it was.

Participation and even watching were optional, but most of the students wanted to see the show. I was impressed with the variety of talents showcased.

Unfortunately some of the students had forgotten that the show was scheduled for Friday and arrived at school unprepared. This difficulty was easy to remedy. They decided to make this a monthly event, to be held on the first Friday of each month. I was most delighted by the discussion in favor of making this a regular event. Several children expressed the confidence of having many talents that they want to share. All I can say is, “Bravo.”
