ALAN GROVER DANIEL
I have been working with the figure in painting since leaving graduate school in 1983. I enjoy working with the relationships between the figure and its environment. Shadows can play an important part in my compositions, betraying the figures' supposed personas.
The work I have choosen to display here is what I consider to be some of my more successful pieces along with the additions of some sketches in the form of color photocopies. It should not be considered a homogeneous body of work, although the relationships between the pieces are apparent to me.
