e are a local branch group of the SCA
(Society for Creative Anachronism), a world-wide not-for-profit
organization dedicated to researching and recreating the medieval ages.
We are located in the Principality of the Mists, in the Kingdom of the West.
Our legal boundaries encompass the cities of Palo Alto, Mountain View,
and Los Altos. Many of our members, however, reside in the boundaries
of other groups in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, and consider
themselves Crosstonian because of our unique state of mind. No matter
where you live , you are welcome to come play with us!
he Shire of Crosston was founded specifically around the arts, and to support the arts. (And the mooses!)
So if you are interested in Music (vocal choir and instrumental),
Dance, Scribal Arts (calligraphy and illumination), Equestrian
Activities, Cooking, Textiles (spinning and needlework), Sewing,
Leatherwork, Shoemaking (yes, for people's feet), Armor Making,
Blacksmithing, and many other arts, then perhaps Crosston is the shire
for you.
This is not to say that we don't have and support our Crosston fighters (Go mooses!), but that we support all aspects of the SCA equally.
