This page is to serve to let you know a little about our shire.

We are a local branch group of the SCA, a world-wide not-for-profit society dedicated to researching and recreating the medieval ages. We are located in the Principality of the Mists, Kingdom of the West; our legal boundaries encompass the cities of Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Los Altos. Many of our members, however, reside in the boundaries of other groups in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, and consider themselves Crosstonian because of our unique state of mind. No matter where you live , you are welcome to come play with us!

The Shire of Crosston was founded specifically around the arts, and to support the arts. (And the mooses!) So if you are interested in Music (choir, instrumental, and vocal), Dance, Scribal Arts (calligraphy and illumination), Equestrian Activities, Cooking, Textiles (spinning and needlework), Sewing, Leatherwork, Shoemaking (yes, for people's feet), Armor Making, Blacksmithing, and many other arts, then perhaps Crosston is the shire for you.

This is not to say that we don't have and support our Crosston fighters, but that we support all aspects of the SCA equally.

Please feel free to come to any of the local practices we host and share with other groups, as well as our monthly shire meetings.
