Setup:
If necessary, plug in the two coaxial cables (they push and turn) and the power cord.
Both scoreboards should light up -
The scrolling display will ask something like "Do you want to start from where the scoreboard was turned off?" Press the 'Yes' Key.
Scoring:
There are two basic operations with this scoreboard; adding to an existing number, and setting a number. For example, to add 1 to the home team's score, press 'Home Score' and then '1'. A similar sequence is used to add to the Guest Score, Home Games Won, etc. If you make a mistake, or need to clear the counts at the end of the game, use the Set key. For example, to set the Home Score back to 0, press "Set', 'Home Score' and finally '0'.
Time:
The Timer is used to set warmup times, duration between games, and Time Outs. To set the time to 3 minutes, for example, press 'Set', 'Time', '3', ':", '0', '0', and finally 'Yes'. '3:00' will show on the scoreboard. This value will begin to count down when the timer switch is pushed to 'On' and will stop if the switch is pushed to 'Off'.
Time Intervals:
The following intervals are used to help the official control the game. In most cases, the officials use the time as a reference and control the game themselves.
Before the Match
Each team usually gets seven minutes of court time, followed by three minutes of serving to each other. Usually what happens is that both teams will initially be working out on the court. When the officials give the court to one team, start a 7:00 timer. When that time expires, the officials will turn control of the court to the other team. Start another 7:00 timer. Finally, start a 3:00 timer during which both teams will be serving.
