Background:

September 1988 to present: Independent Designer and Illustrator for an impressive list of Phoenix and Scottsdale-based ad agencies, communication firms, and corporations. Responsibilities include the development of imagery for advertising, sales promotion and internet. Expert skills in drawing, painting, Photoshop, Illustrator, and the presentation, development and production of various promotion. Extensive experience in interfacing with clients and suppliers, and overseeing projects to a successful conclusion. Superior marker rendering, conceptualizing and layout abilities. Extensive ad agency experience prior to these 18 successful years as an self-employed contractor. References available.

January 1992 to present: Creative Director/Consultant for AM&E, a Tempe-based golf accessories company. Responsibilities include the conceptualizing and development of all advertising, sales promotion, and now the development of this customer's online web catalog. My portfolio for this client includes an an impressive suite of ads and sales aids directed to golf professionals, that have translated into sales growth and strong brand presence for AM&E. I work directly with the owners of this medium-sized manufacturing firm. Samples available.

July 1984-August 1988: Senior Art Director for this NJ-based healthcare ad agency,Torre, Raventa & Lazur. Duties involved the development of advertising and sales materials directed to physicians, for clients such as Glaxo, SmithKline Beecham, Baxter and others. Oversaw conception of ad campaigns, photography, and production. I frequently interfaced with account persons, copywriters, production, and clients, and reported directly to the Creative Director and owners on the status of accounts. In my four years here I realized I could get along and work with almost anybody.

February 1981-July 1984: Assistant Art Director at Saachi&Saachi Healthcare, a New York City ad agency. My first job involved working with art directors in the implementing of ads and sales aids for many pharmaceutical and health-related products. Here I learned how advertising was sold to clients, and was developed with the help of account executives, traffic, and production people. I was privileged to work with some talented and well known photographers and illustrators, while establishing relationships with art directors whom I still continued to work with years later.

Education: Arizona State University BFA in Graphic Design. After graduating, independently developed further abilities in drawing, watercolor,airbrush, photography, and in these software packages: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Poser, Flash. Capable in the designing, upload and maintenence of web content. Knowledgeable at Macintosh troubleshooting.

Equipment: Power Mac, Powerbook, both equipped with with Wacom Drawing Tablets. Nikon 8500 Digital Camera. Airbrushes with portable compressor.

Family: Wife of 22 years: artist Maureen Brady, two children: Lindsey 19, David 15. 1 cat, name: Louis.

Interests: fitness, radio controlled aircraft, hiking in the desert.
