Larry Novick comes from a broad background of both academic study and artistic experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, and has been practicing and teaching the Psychology of the Aware Ego and Voice Dialogue work for almost twenty years, dating back to the first seminars that Hal and Sidra Stone taught, where he and a few others were the original trainers. He is one of the senior teachers and practitioners of the Psychology of the Aware Ego and Voice Dialogue work.
He is currently an Educational Consultant in Los Angeles where he does educational private consultation and also teaches various workshops in all aspects of the theory and practice of The Psychology Of The Aware Ego and The Voice Dialogue Process, as well as in-depth classes in Energetics as it relates to the work, which he taught at Hal and Sidra's Summer Kamps while they were in existence. He has also been an Adjunct Faculity Member of Antioch University Los Angeles, where he has taught energetics and psycho-dynamics, and women's self-defense. Because of his long history with Hal and Sidra's work, and his extensive background in Aikido and other energy modalities, Larry is a premier trainer in the energetics of Voice Dialogue and Aware Ego Psychology.
At the same time, Larry also teaches the Japanese martial art of Aikido in his school in Santa Monica. This elegant martial art in many ways represents this psychological work in physical form, and in that light he has had the pleasure of being Hal Stone's Aikido instructor for many years, personally promoting him to black belt a few years ago. For people who don't want to engage in the physical practice, he teaches a workshop called Inner Aikido TM that allows people to learn the energetics and inner work without the physical exertion.
In addition to his private work and teaching, Larry is also an accomplished musician and composer, screen writer and author, and practitioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
