Brief History

§ One of ~570 assembled at the GM plant in Oakland, CA

§ First purchased in Cupertino, CA in 1949

§ Shipped to Hawaii in 1954 for use on the farm

§ Brought back to California in 1962 “cause it still worked!”

§ Retired from use where it died in the field in 1967

§ Spotted from the old Highway 101 north of Gilroy and purchased by me in October, 1981

§ Body and paintwork by Alan Vivanco & David Rodrigues (D. Rod’s Street Rods)

§ Back on the road after 27 years in July, 1994
