Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I find the best way to enjoy and appreciate Lake Tahoe
is to go on one of its many hiking trails or simply to go kayaking. This web page describes a hike up Mount Tallac, which
is the highest mountain around the shores of Lake Tahoe.
Why go up Mount Tallac? Well, because it is there. Standing 9700 feet high, it commands one of the most spectacular
views in North America. At the top, you'll be greeted with a 360 degree view of Lake Tahoe, Cascade Lake, Fallen Leaf
Lake, Gilmore Lake, and endless peaks of the Sierra Nevadas. In a word, the view is breathtaking.
