Clipboard programs:
ClipMate - Enhances use of the clipboard. $35.
Phrase Express - Retains multiple entries to clipboard and offers much more. Free for personal use.

Dual Display:  In Win98,XP, etc. to display 2 programs/files/documents/screens at once on a single wide-screen monitor: open the two desired entities, then right click on task bar in a blank area, choose a Tile Windows option. Done!  Works well on a 22" diagonal widescreen monitor.  More complex and expensive option: Get a second monitor (may need a new video card).

 Ergomart - Ergonomic products and information for office & home office workplaces.

Faxing from computer:  Compare efax services at faxcompare and David Berger's Internet Faxing Guide.  efax.com - Probably has the most customers. You simply right click the files (up to 3), choose Send, Outlook Express (or other mail program) is called up, type in the efax address, and send. Reliable service but expensive $17 month and 10 cents a page. (WinFax and many other programs can now send faxes while avoiding the fax machine.)

Files:  Sending large files (more c. 10 MB, which may be the limit of one's email provider). Pando and Yousendit are two possible options (not yet tested).

Firefox - Mozilla Firebox is a web browser, like Internet Explorer or Netscape. Free and blocks popup ads. Developed by the open source community.

Forums which discuss typing productivity and related tech matters:
Google is not only the most widely used search engine, but Google.com offers a desktop with a convenient customizable sidebar (with a box for  instant searching of files on your hard drive, weather, maps, news, etc. Google also has a useful notebook add-on. All of these are free. 

Irfan View An excellent popular graphic viewer program. Freeware.

Remindo - Facebook or twitter for work. Self-described as part company social network, part online storage, part fun. (Not tried.)

Rennie's Glossaries and Files - Inexpensive glossaries/files by Gayla "Rennie" Bly, including "My Medical Word List", a useful Excel file for MT students, and Instant Text glossaries: (1) City and (2) City/State, available for selected states.
