Effective January 1st, 2010, the Post Meetings are being moved to the FIRST TUESDAY AFTER OPEN SUNDAY.

  You can now get a Certificate for your service during the Cold War.  If your service falls between September 2, 1945 and December 26, 1991, then you qualify for the Cold War Certificate.  For more information, click on the Cold War Service Recognition Certificate on the Related Web Sites page in the Web Site Links Section.

1832 MEMBER DOES A TOUR IN IRAQ AND IS NOW IN AFGHANISTAN.

Master Sergeant Ryan Nichols (USAFR), joined VFW Post 1832 in December 2003.  This was after returning from a tour in Iraq with an Explosive Ordnace Disposal unit.  Ryan took advantage of the Post paying 1/2 of his Life Membership dues (did you??), and became a Life Member in December 2004.  His full time job is as a Metro Louisville policeman.  He is the Son-in-Law of Life member and webmaster, Dave Scott.
 
Ryan is still in the Air Force Reserve.  He is presently in Afghanistan for a 1 year tour.
