You can now get a Certificate for your service during the Cold War. If your
service falls between September 2, 1945 and December 26, 1991, then you qualify for the Cold War Certificate.

MEMBER DOES A TOUR IN IRAQ AND IS NOW IN AFGHANISTAN.
Master Sergeant Ryan Nichols (USAFR), joined VFW Post 1832
in December 2003. This was after returning from a tour in Iraq with an Explosive Ordnace Disposal unit. Ryan
took advantage of the Post paying 1/2 of his Life Membership dues (did you??),
and became a Life Member in December 2004. His full time job is as a Metro Louisville policeman. He is the
Son-in-Law of Life member and webmaster, Dave Scott.
Ryan is still in the Air Force Reserve. He
is presently in Afghanistan for a 1 year tour.
