In all areas of the world, whether it be in the United States or overseas, over two million deployed military personnel, and also hospitalized veterans, have trouble with being far from home and no way to communicate with loved ones.

OPERATION UPLINK was started in 1996.  It provides free pre-paid phone cards to active-duty service members and hospitalized veterans.  Over 4,000,000 phone cards have been distributed - amounting to over 60,000,000 minutes of phone time.  This is all posible due to the support of VFW and Auxiliary members.

Ever since the events of September 11, 2001, the need for OPERATION UPLINK cards has been tremendous with the thousands of troops that have been deployed to one "hot spot" or another.  This is why OPERATION UPLINK is so important to active duty personnel, it provides them with a means of communicating with home.

OPERATION UPLINK can  also make an immediate difference in the lives of hospitalized veterans by providing them with a means of communicating with loved ones that may be far away.

If you would like to order an OPERATION UPLINK card for you or someone else, please click on the following link.  These cards are provided free under the  OPERATION UPLINK program.  Just complete the information requested in the link, and send it on-line.
