Art of the Book meets monthly in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
Book projects are sometimes colaborative, members exchanging completed books or pages for a container or binding. Projects
have included:
2x2 Chunky Love Book - pages two inches by two inches, theme - love, spiral binding
3x3 Three's
- continuing in a series, pages three inches by three inches, theme - three, various bindings used
Fortune Cookie
Zine - each member was provided a fortune from a cookie (which was eaten) and designed a page inspired by the fortune, pages
were exchanged, 4.25 x 5.5, bound with Japaneese stab binding.
What's Your Bag - members created ten originals of
one page, exchanged, placed in a purse container.
Current project is the "Paper Doll" project. This collaborative
book uses a 1960 paper doll as a template. Each artist is inspired by a quote from a poem "Everywoman Should."
