These are the plans for the complete Desert Hybrids 10-piece chassis stiffening kit for a Porsche 914 or 914/6 plus the plans for the Desert Hybrids Porsche 914 or 914/6 trailing arm boxing kit. These kits have been installed on racing 914's and have proven to significantly stiffen the chassis against cracking and breaking, as well as aiding the distribution of heavy suspension loading during hard cornering. We normally install these kits on every V8 powered Porsche 914 we build.

These kist are simple to install using either TIG or MIG welding. Just drill the holes using the drawings provided as a guide, then weld thru the holes and around the perimeter of each panel - MIG is the fastest and easiest method.Supplied with installation instructions. This is the complete Desert Hybrids Trailing Arm Boxing kit for a Porsche 914 or 914/6. It is composed of .105" thick trailing arm strengthening panels. This kit has been installed on racing 914's and has proven to significantly stiffen the chassis trailing arms against cracking and breaking, as well as aiding the distribution of heavy suspension loading during hard cornering. These panels provide increased torsional stiffness as well as resistance to bending and flexing. We normally install these kits on every V8 powered Porsche 914 we build.

The kit is simple to install using either TIG or MIG welding(no torch heating required). Just drill the holes using the photo in the instructions as a guide, then weld thru the holes, bend the panels to the trailing arm contour, and weld around the perimeter of each panel (and thru the remaining holes) - MIG is the fastest and easiest method.
