Welcome to my cyberhome!
As there are many projects that I am currently embarked upon, I have decided to make this initial page a simple one, providing jumps to other pages with my projects and interests. Please feel free to browse around… I promise I won’t post anything here that I would have a problem seeing on the front page of the L.A. Times Orange County Edition!
Projects:
- Helium. I have begun writing articles on Helium.com, simply for the exposure. To see samples of my writing, go to my Helium Articles List, or my Helium About Me page.
- Taglines T’s, my venture into capitalism… I have gotten so many comments on the taglines at the bottom of my emails, that I decided to put them on t-shirts (at least the ones that I don’t think are copyrighted)! Some are humorous, some are controversial, some are profound.
- D.W.E.L. (David Wilcox Email List)… Dave is such a talented artist that he has inspired a cult-like following of fans. Many of us have joined a mailing list and keep in regular contact with each other. I have also been working on graphics to put on shirts so we can easily find each other at concerts. Those of you who are already listers, click on “graphics” above and you’ll see what I have so far. Unfortunately, I don’t
have an automated process for all y’all to vote on your favorites, so I’ll have to do it manually. Send me an email off-list with your favorite and/or any suggestions and I’ll tweak and tune until I find something that works well (or I run out of time and have to put something
up).
- St. Christopher… My own computer and network support company. We build, upgrade, and repair both computers and networks. I’m putting to use all the certifications I’ve acquired in the last two decades of teaching others how to do these things that I’m so good at.
- WTCWeb… My $0.02 on the World Trade Center attacks. Much delayed, as Life keeps intruding upon my efforts to complete this project. Now, three years later, it’s still under construction (grumble, grumble, grouch, grouch, mutiny, mutiny). Isn’t it amazing how Life distracts you from the most important things?
- An open letter to spammers. This is an open letter to all senders of unsolicited commercial email.
- My Privacy Policy.
- My Blacklist. This is the list of companies I have blacklisted. I will not do business with these companies, now or ever. I also detail the reason I won’t do business with them. In an effort to be fair, I am also including my Greylist (companies that have offended me and whose marketing department I have informed of this fact… if they clean up their acts, they don’t move to the Blacklist) and my Whitelist (these are the companies that have really impressed me and to whom I will take all of my future business, even if it costs me more… I will also direct other customers - yes, new business - to these folks ’cause good help is so hard to find and should be rewarded when it is found).
- A list of Known Spammers. Anyone who does business with these execrable entities is automatically blacklisted. These lists (the list of spammers and the list of organizations/individuals who are blacklisted because they do business with spammers) get updated on a more or less daily basis, so check it often.
- Knepper’s Knibblers. My weblog (or “blog” for the slang speakers amongst us). Basically, a list of my rants and raves. This is my forum to spout my own opinions. You may agree with me or disagree; to each his or her own. My only purpose with this page is to encourage thought. Real, live, active thought. I do hope you’ll think I’m closer to the “brilliant” end of the spectrum than the “nuttier than a squirrel’s cheeks in October” end, but I can’t control your thoughts so enjoy poking fun at me as much as I tend to poking fun at myself!
Interests:
- Stupid people, especially criminals… I just love reading about people who do the stupidest things… and my definition of “stupid people” is this: People who have plenty of mental capacity to determine that their actions reflect the IQ of a grape, but simply don’t think. It’s not the mental capacity (or lack thereof) that makes one stupid, it’s the fact that you just didn’t think.
- SETI@Home… You, too, can participate in the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence! Simply download the SETI@Home software and run it on your computer. The software will download and analyze radio telescope data, sending the results back to SETI@Home. Be the first to confirm that We Are Not Alone.
- Stargate SG-1… Yes, I’m a fan. In fact, I went to the convention this last year (July 10-11, 2004) in Burbank. Christopher Judge and I are two peas in a pod! We are soooooo alike! Pics are on this page
- Books & Things… A list of books, movies, and other stuff that I have found worthwhile.
About Myself:
Of course, any personal web site just has to include the “brag rag” page, where one gets to spout off about oneself without concern for being considered arrogant, egotistical, or conceited (character flaws that I would be the first to admit to… if I had them < ;-D >).
