The number thirty-three is a number with special significance.
Does "33" mean anything special to you?
For well over a decade now, I have noticed the number 33 showing up - both in my immediate surroundings and in objects and facts related to me - with a frequency of occurrence far higher than one would reasonably expect. It is true that we may see what we look for, but when we find what we are "looking for" in quantities, places and circumstances that seem highly unlikely, there may be cause to wonder whether there might be more to the story than meets with common sense. Indeed, "thirty-threes" show up so often in my daily experience that friends and family members who spend a good deal of time with me also find cause to wonder what is behind this apparently unusual circumstance. (Thomas Ropp wrote an article in The Arizona Republic newspaper about my experiences, citing the story as one of the most interesting accounts he had heard.)
Now, after many people with similar experiences have signed in at this site, it becomes clear that I am by no means alone, and that there may be countless numbers of people having such unusual experiences. Perhaps you are one of them!
I have endeavored to be as objective as possible about 33 experiences, and I have considered just about every suggestion as to reasons or possible meanings this may have, yet it remains a mystery to most who carefully consider it. Over the years, I've uncovered a good deal of information regarding this "Master Number," this repdigit, 33. [See, "33 Mysteries Facts" ]
Studies of this number reveal that it holds significance in many systems of thought and human experience from around the globe, ranging from the purely physical to the theoretical and deeply mystical. For example, the Planck Limit of quantum physics describes the smallest possible theoretical particle in the known universe as having a size no smaller than 10 -33cc (-10 followed by 33 zeroes). Among religious and mystical systems, "33" is important to Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Sufis, Freemasons, Rosicrucians, Zoroastrians, and others. With regard to geography, some historically significant cities and other earthly locations sit on or very near the North Latitude 33°33'. One such is the place where the Tigris and Euphrates rivers come nearest to one another: the area commonly referred to as the "Fertile Crescent," the alleged source of human civilization, near Baghdad, Iraq. This latitudinal line also marks the location of the city of my origin, Phoenix, Arizona.
I was born and continue to reside at the global latitude 33°30' North, having spent virtually my entire life here. In a state with a geographical area of 294,333 square kilometers, and in a city at an altitude of 332 meters above sea level, I was born in a hospital at the 330 East block of a road at about 33°00' N. The house in which I was raised from birth lies directly upon the global latitude line of 33°30' N in this city, and the house in which I have lived for the following half of my adult life sits only a few yards away from that same latitude.
Owing to an atypical curve in the road in front of this house (this area is built on a grid system) mine is the only house in this neighbourhood that sits exactly 33 degrees off from the N-S-E-W orientation of all the others. I discovered this last fact with great surprise, after living here for many years, when I measured one day with a compass.
The house was purchased from a man whom I later discovered was a 33rd degree Freemason. In my 33rd year, I undertook a thorough re-model of the house, which is now 50 years old.
I have been observing in my daily life rather large - statistically unlikely - quantities of the double and triple digits, "33" and "333", for the past 12 years (at the time of this writing). This does not include 33s arrived at by addition or mathematics, as in numerology, but solely the appearances of it everywhere as some cryptic icon: 3s, side-by-side.
Many people claim that this number appears frequently and regularly in their lives. As already indicated, "33" seems special in its own right for many reasons.
I am interested in dialogue with others who have some interest in this number. Are you such a person? Perhaps you know someone who has such a special interest. Or, perhaps you'd simply like to know more about the number "thirty-three." Others who have signed in may also want to chat about "33."
While this "33" is most mysterious, there is surely much more to learn, and dialogue is one of many ways to learn.
