Adam C. Burke
and William Warren composed and recorded Desert Nights in order to offer new music for belly dancers and as part of their continuing exploration of music from other cultures.  Their award-winning album features 11 new, original compositions, as well as a new arrangement of the traditional favorite, "Ay Ya Zein."

Both belly dancers and fans of global beat or world music love this album, which features oud, saz, mandolin, and guitars, as well as keyboards, drums, and other percussion instruments. Desert Nights continues to sell throughout the US and beyond. Their music has been performed since its release in 1997 on many radio and television programs, including Cox Cable's The Joy of Belly Dancing, hosted by Yasmina. Currently, Desert Knights are in the studio working on their second album as they continue to promote their first.

Adam C. Burke has had articles published in Zaghareet!, Jareeda, the Arizona Middle Eastern Dance Association magazines, and at Bhuz.com. He is a visual artist and musician, and a life-long resident of Phoenix, Arizona. William Warren was also born in Phoenix, and currently works and lives in Hawaii.
