Kurita 2300X: The latest offering by Kurita Arms is a progressive
refinement of the Type-79 Assault Rifle in a Gauss Rifle configuration, which
has been under development by Kurita for years. A unique bonus-opportunity
program instituted by the company for employees with new ideas or
problem-solving ability has resulted in a gauss rifle of exceptional
performance. Since its introduction, it has become Japan's current service
weapon. Kurita Arms makes two versions of this rifle, the only difference
between them being that the mass of the heavier one is increased 2 kg by the
incorporation of a standard, rifle-integral grenade launcher.
