Deckers are the hackers, crackers, phreakers, "security specialists", and data rustlers of the 24th Century. While they have status and respectability among some, they are considered an Extralegal career among many (including most Law Enforcement types). They are geeks, nerds, and wonks, computers are their bread and butter, and information is their unit of exchange. Any skill which will help them better understand the machine is their territory. They tend to be intensely curious, and often not very socially acceptable.
