When designing new weapons for _2300 AD_, it is necessary to give them a bulk rating. This is used to determine who attacks first, in the case of tied Coolness Under Fire. Bulk is determined by a weapon's length, but (unfortunately!) 2300 never gave any limits on lengths/bulks, and some of the bulks in their own Modules/Sourcebooks were inconsistent!
What can be (and has been!) done is to list all the "official" weapons' lengths and bulks, and try to determine which were inconsistent, and where the lines can be drawn, then select an appropriate value. The following such values are offered for your perusal, based on the Bulks of "Official" Weapons Table.
