~ Primary Clients ~

I perform duties as a sports statistician (depending upon the task, also referred to as a game reporter, scout, or game charter). These duties include:

Reporting live, real-time game statistics.
Pre-game and post-game information.
Live play-by-play data.
Tracking live, in-depth game and player information that goes far beyond the data seen in a typical box score.
Writing and submitting media advisories to our major clients when significant events occur during a game such as key player injuries, setting new team or league records in a statistical category, etc.
Breaking down recorded video of NBA games, and charting highly detailed information about the teams and players.
Working on miscellaneous statistical analysis articles and other related projects.

My real-time game coverage (client: STATS) is done by logging onto a remote computer system through a desktop or laptop computer, and entering information live as the events are happening. I do this primarily by watching Satellite TV coverage of the games, or working on-site at the location where the game is being played.

My analysis of recorded NBA game video (client: 82games/Dallas Mavericks) is done by taking a spreadsheet provided to me by the client, and providing the data by carefully charting specific elements of the assigned game. I do this by recording the games via Satellite TV.

The sports I currently cover, and the specific tasks I perform for each, are as follows:

I cover Indiana Pacers games live from my home office via television.
When the Pacers are not playing, I cover any and all of the various other NBA teams' games via television.
I record Dallas Mavericks games via television for scouting/charting purposes.
I have covered the NBA since 1997.

I cover Indianapolis Colts home games on-site from the Lucas Oil Stadium press box. I also cover some Colts road games live from my home office via television.
When the Colts are not playing, I cover any and all of the various other NFL teams' games via television.
