I suppose I should have known all along that I would end up doing something like Wizard Sports. From a very early age, I have had a fascination with numbers/statistics, and when added to my interest in sports, this became a very powerful combination for me.

When I was a kid, I would not only keep stats on real games and players, but I would make up my own leagues and stats...I guess real sports didn't supply enough data to keep me satisfied. While I was in high school (Southport High School, 1980-1984), I kept stats for my intramural basketball team. While I was in college (Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, 1984-1988, the top-rated undergraduate Science and Engineering school in the country), I was the Head Statistician for the varsity football and basketball teams.

In the years after graduating from college with a bachelor's degree in mathematics, I worked for several different companies. I mainly worked as a computer programmer/analyst, and as a statistical analyst (1988-1995).

In 1995, I began to form some ideas for what I thought would be a great internet-based business. After careful planning for several months, Wizard Sports was born!

I have many personal interests (besides sports), including movies, television, animals, travel, computers and the internet, and both playing and listening to various kinds of music, although rock 'n' roll is my main musical passion.
