Statement of Faith

 

ACHSN has been formed to serve as a fellowship for homeschoolers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to serve as Ambassadors of Christ by teaching and sharing His love with one another.

 

WE BELIEVE love is the highest calling in our lives.  For this reason, ACHSN is open to all people.  Our goal is that all our members witness the love and power of God through Jesus Christ.

 

WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the absolute truth in every word.

 

WE BELIEVE that our leaders should reflect Christ's character in all ways including: integrity, honesty, and faithfulness.

 

WE BELIEVE that people who are spiritually lost because they have not accepted Christ as their Savior and Lord, matter to God, and therefore, matter to us.

 

WE BELIEVE that the Scriptures contained in both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in its original writings, serving as the final authority for all Christian faith and life. It cannot be added to or subtracted from, and serves as the complete revelation of God's will for the salvation of men.

 

WE BELIEVE that God is both One and Triune and consists of three fully divine and equal persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

 

WE BELIEVE in the return of Christ for His believers.  We await the Rapture of the Christian Church; where one day Jesus will return in the clouds and those who believe in Him will be caught up in the air to live with Him forever.

 

I Thessalonians 4:14-18:  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words....
