Vincent Van Gogh had lived in New Jersey, not Europe. And suppose further that, rather than
having lived at the end of the 19th century, he was alive and kicking now. Well, that's the premise of a play
I wrote a few years ago. I've always been fascinated by Vincent -- by his paintings and his writings -- and I
feel like I've come to know him. In fact, I've come to realize that he's not that different from the guys I
grew up with in suburban N.J.
