Cariño: love, affection, tenderness, endearment. Anne Bluethenthal’s latest work explores in movement, text, music and visual art the psycho-physical, cultural and global dimensions of caring. The strong, sensual physicality of the ABD ensemble, blends with the complex, compelling music of Ajayi Lumumba; the impassioned tones and lyrics of Melanie DeMore and Mama CoAtl; the entrancing poetry of
Judy Grahn; and the vibrant art of muralist Nadine Gay.
Come early to the show and enjoy the Cariño gallery exhibit and
OASIS for Girls performance in the lobby.
