My mom's cousin Martin from England was in the US visiting her brother. They spent some time in the Baltimore MD area (where most of the family is located) and then came down to Venice for a while where my Uncle has an apartment. Venice wasn't exactly on the way from the FL Keys to Homestead, but Martin was too close to pass up the chance to visit so I decided to spend a weekend with them. I stayed in the Encore Superpark Sarasota South. It's really nice with lots of Pine and Live Oak trees. The motorhomes are snuggled in between the trees. The sites are a mixture of grass and pine needles with squirrels running around everywhere.

Friday evening Uncle Barry & Martin came over for a tour of the motorhome. Then we went to for supper. We took our time eating, chatting and catching up on the last 23 years. Afterwards we went back to Uncle Barry's apartment and talked some more.

Saturday I spent the day with Uncle Barry & Martin until it was time for Martin to go to the airport to head back to England. We took a long walk down the beach and around the marina - talking the whole way.

Sunday Uncle Barry took me to the Myakka River State Park to view wildlife. We saw alligators and all kinds of birds. A hawk perched on a branch of a bush right in front of me! We spent hours looking at the animals.
