ABAKAN
The nineties saw Abakan leave Wyoming and move to California for two years. There we found we could run on dirt roads and fire breaks(but we did have to watch out for all the rattlesnakes). Bok also got involved in weight pulling, and earned his WDX weight pull title in four consecutive pulls, with two pulls over 1000 pounds and over twenty five times his weight. After leaving California, we briefly moved back to Wyoming, and there ran on dirt roads with the old Fishback cart. From Wyoming we moved to Colorado for four years, living way out in the middle of nowhere. Hard to get into town sometimes, but a great place for running the dogs! Here Walker got to lead a ten-dog team with such members as Ivory, Tanni, and Boone, and he consistently led a 6-dog team. In December of 1998 we moved to NE Arkansas, where we've been since then.
