"They'd kill you, you know."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"And they lied about the prophecy."

"Well, of course! I mean, did they actually expect me to... Hmm. I just
made a horrible mistake, didn't I."

"Yes." [clonk]

"So do *you* know anything about ninjas?" Kara asked her partner
on the morning patrol. He was hardly the first she'd asked...

"Children's stories. Nothing more."

"What? [giggleflick] Don't be silly. Everyone knows they're real."

"They do *not* exist."

"Look, there's no ninjas within ten miles of here. [flick] You don't
have to be afriad."

"[giggle] I'm not afraid, Collette. But you don't really believe..."

"My friend saw one last night."

"Friend?"

"You know, Chit? [flick] A ninja showed up and offered to tell him...
er..."

"Tell him what?"

"Well, something he wanted to know. [flick] But he panicked and ran,
so I've been looking for them to ask what they know! [bounce] I mean,
we've been looking for clues for months, and..."

"I think your friend was making fun of you. [giggle] There's no such 
thing as a ninja."

"Oh, come on. [rolleyes] It's not like they've got some supernatural
powers. They're just scouts who watched too much television. [flick] I
bet I could out-ninja them any day. But... are you okay?"

"I'm fine! [ruffle]"

"Well, if you don't know, say so, but... [giggle]"

"What?"

"I bet you're one of them. [grinflick] And you're covering up."

The other squirrel turned suddenly, and threw Kara against the trunk
of the tree. "Who told you? [narrowgaze]"

Kara squirmed, "Ow! This isn't funny! Let me go!"

"No." He held a claw out towards her, and she followed it with her eyes
until she went crosseyed. Then there was a prick...
