Costumes for
Knight of the Burning Pestle

In the fall of 2005, I was asked to be the costume mistress for a production of Knight of the Burning Pestle performed by the Baron's Men, an Elizabethan theatrical re-enactment group. This comedy, written by the playwright Francis Beaumont in 1607, is a satire of the Shakespearean plays that were popular in that time. Because the members of the Baron's Men have their own supply of Elizabethan costumes, I did not need to design or sew the costumes for this production, but I did repair, clean and transport the costumes throughout the run of the play which was performed in cities in Texas over a period of several weeks.
