Edna Holland Mory holds the degrees of
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Instructional Systems and Master of Music
Education (M.M.E.) with Advanced Piano Pedagogy Certification from Florida State University, and Bachelor of Science
(B.S.) in Music Education from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. She has worked as a
university professor, public school music
teacher, an independent piano instructor, and church pianist. During the years of 1992 through 2005, Dr. Mory taught Instructional
Technology in the Donald R. Watson School of Education at the University of
North Carolina Wilmington.
At present, Dr. Mory teaches piano at her
independent studio, "88 Keys Piano Studio." She also sings in the
Cape Fear Chorale -- a professional quality choral group in the Wilmington,
North Carolina area -- and sings and plays in the
Grace Chancel Choir and
Grace Ringers handbell
choir at Grace United Methodist Church, respectively. Dr. Mory is a member of the
National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC),
the Music Educators National Conference (MENC),
the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA),
and is currently President of the Cape Fear Music Teachers Association.
