Pisgah, Union, Iowa, to Salt Lake City in the spring of 1852 with the Jesse Stewarts Company. It took them 3 months to journey across the Plains.5 Thomas Jefferson Adair appeared on the census of 1860 at Washington, Washington, Utah.6
     Thomas Jefferson Adair was listed in 1870 as the head of a family on the 1870 census Harrisburg, Washington, Utah. The official date for this census was 01 June 1870. Also living in this household was Mary Vance, Aaron Adair, Frances Adair, Moroni Adair, Mary Adair and Jacob Adair.7
