MEGAN'S BRIDAL MONEY-DANCE BAG

|
| Megan and Matt ~ April 24, 2004 |
The Bridal Money Dance started with our niece as a means of adding some
honeymoon pocket change to the bride's bag and the groom's pockets. Denise now has four daughters of her own. Megan is the
second to wed and I have traditionally created a Money-Dance Bag for each. Her Mom informed me that she was not a traditionalist
and that she needed a backpack instead of a bag. "Sew" here it is!
A design from Embroidery Library was used for the "Graphic Doves and Heart". It was personalized using Janome Digitizer 10K and stitched on my MC10001. The
straps were made from strips of 1-1/4" fabric. The edges were rolled on the Bernette Funlock
008 using regular serger thread. The gathered effect was created on the sewing machine with the Bonfit Elasticator
Foot, stitching 3/8" elastic down the center of the strip, using a stretched out zig zag or elastic stitch.
Note: 3/8-Yard fabric was purchased for the bag, straps and lining.
