The first steps
This is the sequence I recommend for beginning. You may want to print it out or bookmark this page for easy reference to give yourself a bit of grounding as you begin to navigate the course site and accomplish your work here this week.


1) Review everything on the Course Info page (in Course Info)


2) Complete the Getting Started module (in Modules)


3) Participate in the Introductions forum (in Discussions)


4) Begin working through all other work listed for Week 1 (refer to the Tasks List button at the far left to see all required work per week)


5) Confirm at the end of the week you've completed all required tasks by double-checking the Tasks List for that week. (I recommend printing out the Task List in the module each week and crossing items off as you complete them.)


6) Try to relax and have as much fun as you can.


You may want to bookmark (or "add to favorites") the Syllabus and the main Tasks List (or perhaps the Course Info page which has links to both) and the NG Gateway (portal) for your convenience.





Note
The parentheses after each step listed above indicate which section or "button" on the navigation bar (at the far left of your screen) you go to in order to accomplish each task. Example: (in Discussions) means it is in the Discussions and Private Messages section of our course site. Most tasks are described in the module for that week, as well.
