Modifications

01.  Vehicle Purchase 01.13.01
Purchased from Lee Nissan in Wilson, NC in January of 2001. Although not technically a mod, may as well start at the beginning.
02.  Orange Thingy! 12.31.02
Installation.
03.  OEM Driving Lamps 01.06.03
Added factory (Nissan Altima) lamps. Wired to dash switch from parking light circuit. Lamps operate independent of high-beams, retain chime notification.
04.  OEM Horn Upgrade 01.13.03
Added second horn - FIAMM "Freeway Blaster" low-tone to compliment OEM high-tone. Connected to OEM plug with male disconnect.
05.  Westin Safari Bar 05.16.03
Mounted Safari Bar to chassis. Fasteners torqued to spec with the able assistance of Ag Bullet, an Admin at TUNFS. Paid $123.00 at GoGrilleGuards.com for bar and brackets (plus $24.70 S&H). The Safari Bar really compliments the look of the Frontier!

06.  Dual Hella Horns 06.04.03
Replaced the FIAMM setup. The Hella horns are not any louder, I just saw them on e-bay and liked the way they looked!
07.  Paint Grill Bar 06.05.03
I always had an issue with the silver grill bar on my XE DR. The wheels and bumper were the darker charcoal color, so the bar didn't match anything else on the vehicle. I decided to paint it when I installed the Westin Safari Bar. I used Plasti-kote flexible bumper & trim semi-gloss black (1895), and it is a nearly perfect match to the black powder coat of the Safari Bar.
08.  PIAA 40 Round Driving Lamps 06.06.03
Mounted lamps to Safari Bar. The PIAA 40 Round lamp is the same size as the very popular 520, but I wanted more of a "ralleye" look than an off-road look (from the front, you see a lot of prism reflector-backed clear glass). Very decent PIAA-quality driving lamps and very nice wiring harness at a reasonable price ($134.00 at Truck Performance.com).
09.  OEM Driving Lamp Upgrade 06.06.03
Switched out stock bulbs with PIAA Ion Crystal fog bulbs so OEM lamps are now true fog lights. The Ion Crystal bulbs really make a difference in inclement weather. Now fog lamp switch is powered from aux. fuse in box and can be switched on anytime the ignition switch is past ACC. PIAA driving lamps use in-dash switch from (3) and will operate when any stock lights are on.
