Alamo City Spitfire
Reggie

Yes, Reggie is female!  She is a British hottie that loves to drive its driver wild.  Look at that paint job!  She has to be hot!

Reggie is a 1979 Spitfire 1500

Reggie's paint is unique for a Spit.  It is not something that I want to keep on this car, but it does really grow on you after a while.

Triumph Spitfire 1500

The hottest in the Spitfire lineage.   The 1500 is the most popular and widely found in the US market.  It was produced for nine years and could be extremely hot with the right carb set up.  The cars came with an SU set up originally, but the Brits bowed to the tree huggers and soon it was cut to a single ZS carb.  Too bad!

Reggies Interior After Her Make Up

Reggie's interior suffered from years of being outside.  The interior was shot.  The saddle blanket seats were shredded, the carpet was rotten, the dashboard had wood rot and the floorboards were rusted through in spots.

The previous owner practiced auto painting on Reggie.  Nothing was masked and nothing was covered.  Everything in the car including the engine, interior and windows were a distinct Vermillion color.

You cannot imagine how bad of shape this engine was in when I got Reggie.  She had to have plastic surgery, a tummy tuck and a boob job!

Floorboards have been repaired and it's time for a new dash and instrumentation.
